Our aim is to host a jam-packed 2 days of problem-solving and high-level thinking using Action-Projects to track our progress!
Our Action-Projects focus on addressing challenges described by the UN Sustainability Development Goals.
Mastermind groups and hackathon events are now running at the Innovation Centre.
Anyone can join in as we solve these global issues so join us at the Digital Vaultz Action-Project Hackathon “Making the Impossible Possible”
What is a mastermind group? Is a peer-to-peer collaboration to help members solve problems with input and advice from the other group members. The concept was coined in 1925 by author Napoleon Hill in his book The Law of Success and described in more detail in his 1937 book, Think and Grow Rich. In his books, Hill discussed the idea of the Master Mind, which referred to two or more people coming together in harmony to solve problems.
Action-Project mastermind groups will involve a small group of 4 - 9 people coming together to further develop Action-Projects. They look at defining the project, creating solutions, and making it attractive to investors. This process will take unlisted Action-Projects to the stage where they are ready to be listed. Masterminds will also be deciding which Action-Projects need a hackathon to overcome challenges to reach the next milestone.
What is a hackathon? A typical hackathon (also known as a hack day, hackfest or codefest) is a design sprint-like event in which computer programmers and others involved in software development collaborate intensively on software projects. We are going to expand on this concept to bring in a wide range of skill sets, not just to do with IT, but also governance, finance, business development etc.
Action-Project hackathons will give the community the opportunity to explore global problems using new tools. Come together to explore Action-Projects and network with other hackers. Your team has the opportunity to win prizes and solve global problems.
The first of these events will be held in The Innovation Centre of the Sunshine Coast with speaker and participants from around the world joining remotely.
In the future, we plan to expand the concept and schedule events around Australia and internationally.
Our community members have started to meet as teams in France, the US, Sydney, and Melbourne. Because of their enthusiasm, we would like to follow their lead and make this an ongoing activity. This is a shout out to like-minded problem solvers and productive go-getters. If you are a lateral thinker and have grit we would love to see you at these events!
Take advantage of the opportunity to join a team and try to solve global problems in a welcoming, collaborative environment and get a closer look at a decentralised health network, the USAT platform, and a decentralised wealth service.
Find out when our next event will be held on our Meetup page!
Also, we’ll be posting about the events on social media! So make sure you follow us there!
